James Cunningham certificate, 1782 Dec. 23.

Cunningham acknowledges that he is a prisoner of the state of South Carolina and promises "not to do, or cause any thing to be done, prejudicial or injurious to the said State, the United States, or their allies." Certificate is witnessed at Charlestown (Charleston, S.C.) by Phil[ip] Prioleau.
